A little about me...
Matty Aitchison – Rayson, Principal of Razzamataz Theatre Schools West Cumbria, took over the school in 2018 after working for the company for six years as a Classroom Assistant at Razzamataz Theatre Schools Carlisle. In 2014, Matty graduated from the University of Cumbria with a Upper Second Class joint honours degree in Drama Performance and Technical Theatre.
Matty eats, sleeps and breathes all things Razzamataz and is very excited and delighted to be taking over as Principal. He is very much looking forward to all the wonderful experiences he can provide to his students within Singing, Dance and Drama and watching them grow and develop their confidence week on week.
Minis 1 & Dance Teacher
Amber studied Dance and Drama for 2 years at Manchester Metropolitan University before majoring in Dance in her final year, in which she gained a BA Hons in Dance. Amber went on to continue her studies and graduated with a PGCE in Performing Arts. She has danced all her life taking part in festivals and competitions across the country. Amber is trained in various dance styles including Commercial and Tap and currently works at Carlisle College as a Performing Arts Lecturer.
Ellie began her Razzamataz journey in 2003, aged 5, and has now been with Razzamataz for 18 years. Throughout her time as a student she participated in events both in and outside of weekly Razzamataz classes including several performances with us at Her Majesty's Theatre in the West End and a workshop with Diversity. Ellie was a two-time winner of the Student of the Year award as well as winner of the Stage Scholarship.
Ellie has worked for Razzamataz West Cumbria in various roles as Classroom Assistant for Minis and Juniors, Mini's Teacher and is now our Drama teacher.
Tots and Singing Teacher
Sophie has had a passion for Musical Theatre and Performing from the age of 5 years. She was a student at Razzamataz West Cumbria fo our 10 years, and performed in many different showcases and attended many workshops. Sophie is a qualified teaching assistant and works in a local nursery school. As well as this Sophie is a qualified paediatric first aider and has a level one certificate in British Sign Language.
Minis & Juniors 2 Teacher
Georgia has danced since the age of 3, taking many exams and gaining many medals. She has been part of an amateur dramatics society since 2008 and takes part in local productions at least twice a year. She has been assistant choreographer for a sell out production of Annie.

Heather is currently studying her A-levels and has always had a passion for Performing Arts. She has performed with the local amateur dramatics society for 7 years doing pantomimes and shows. Some of her favourite shows have been 'Footloose' and 'Bugsy Malone' and loves performing in concerts!
Heather loves working with children and supporting and encouraging them within the arts.
Tots & Singing Teacher
Grace is a graduate of the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and the Wales International Academy of Voice. She hold an MA in Vocal Studies. Prior to this, she studied at the University of Hull where she was awarded a BA Join Honours degree in Drama and Music.
Grace has worked as a private singing teacher and a peripatetic music tutor with primary, secondary and sixth form students. She loves teaching singing; preparing students for performances and helping them to reach their full potential is highly rewarding. Grace is super excited to be part of the Razzamataz team and working with the talented students while Sophie is on Maternity leave.
